Don't panic! In most cases, your progress is not lost.

If you recently updated the Google Play Games app (the green controller icon) or updated our game to play a new mode, the system may have automatically signed you into a different or older Google Account that doesn't have your current save data.

Please follow these steps to switch back to your correct account.

Step 1: Check your Google Play Settings

The update may have changed your default sign-in preferences.

  1. Open the Google Play Games app on your device (the green icon).

  2. Tap the three dots (menu) in the top corner and select Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the section "Your Data" or "Profile and Privacy" and tap Change account for games.

  4. Find our game in the list.

  5. Tap the "Change" button next to it and select "Ask each time" (or select the specific email address where your main progress is saved).

Step 2: Reset the Game Login

Now that you've fixed the settings, you need to force the game to ask you for your account again.

  1. Go to your device Settings > Apps > Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare.

  2. Tap on Storage.

  3. Tap Clear Data (or Clear Storage). Note: This will not delete your cloud progress. It only resets the login information on your phone.

  4. Restart the game.

  5. When the game loads, a Google pop-up should soon appear. Select the correct email address associated with your previous in-game progress. You may have to play through the tutorial and go to the game's settings and click on the button that will prompt the game to open your Google Play Games.

⚠️ If you are playing on a Guest Account (you never connected to Google Play Games) and you try to "Clear Data," you might lose your progress permanently.

If you are unsure if you were a Guest, please do not clear your data. Instead, contact our Support Team so we can check your account status first.
